Galileo 28 cm thermometer
Liquid thermometer created according to an idea of Galileo Galilei called Galileo (1564-1642). In the course of research on temperature measurement, Galileo discovered a fascinating method. A solid body immersed in a liquid tends to fall as the temperature rises - it begins to rise upwards when the temperature drops. The temperature can be read on the seal connected to the glass ball. Preparation of this instrument requires great precision, each of the glass balls has been calibrated to an accuracy of 2 degrees C, which corresponds to a weight difference of only 6/100 grams. Temperature range 18 - 26 degrees. Graduation every 2 degrees. Height 28 cm.
